Vision/Mission

VISION & MISSION

If “Sarvajanik” is the “Mantra” of our vision and mission, “Democracy” is the “Mantra” of the functioning of the various administrative and academic units of our college because we believe that the mission of making the education “Sarvajanik” cannot be attained without adhering to the principles of democratic functioning.

In order to look after the various internal administrative and academic aspects of the college and day to day functioning of the college, we have formed an Internal Administrative Committee (IAC), headed by the principal. They observe together whether the college functions smoothly and regularly or not. There is no exaggeration in saying that the administration of the college is transparent and systematic. The Principal takes care of the overall co-ordination of the academic and administrative activities. Thus, it is needless to mention that all the stakeholders, including the faculty, take part in decision making process.

  • The Sarvajanik Education Society (SES), the management monitors and coordinates the functioning of all the Institutions including ours, through the Managing Committee, the Executive Committee and the Sub-Committees. The sub-committees look after the finance, building, academic, legal, purchase, project and administrative matters related to all the Institutions including ours.
  • The Local Administrative Committee (LAC) is appointed by the management to monitor and co-ordinate the various aspects of functioning of a particular college. It is consisted of five members of the managing committee, one member of the Executive Committee (Who is the Chairman of the Committee), the Principal, one teacher of the Institution, one member of the non-teaching staff, two members of SES residing in the neighborhood of the College and one of the guardians of students.
  • The Internal Administrative Committee (IAC) which looks after various internal administrative and academic aspects of the College and day to day functioning of the College. The Principal is the Chairman of this committee.

We have an inbuilt mechanism to check the work efficiency of the teaching and non-teaching staff. For this purpose overall functioning of the college has been divided into eight units, namely, Chemistry department, Physics department, Botany department, Zoology department, Mathematics department, Library and Physical Education department and College office. The responsibilities of monitoring and co-ordinating the duties of the teaching and non-teaching staff of respective unit rest with the person in charge of that unit. For the academic departments the person in charge is the HOD. The person in charge of the office is OS/HC, whereas the person in charge of the Library is the Librarian and that of Gymkhana and Sports is the lecturer in Physical education. These in charge persons have to apprise the Principal periodically of the duties of the teaching and nonteaching staff of the respective unit.

Normally the meetings of the Managing Committee are held every month.
The meetings of LAC are held atleast twice per term and the meetings of IAC are held as and when required. The minutes of the meetings of the managing committee of SES and LAC are regularly recorded. All the meetings of the LAC are held in the Principal’s office. At the time of LAC meeting normally the members of the LAC also meet the staff-members. It may be noted that besides such accessibility of the LAC members to the staff, the teaching as well as the nonteaching staff, also have their representatives on the LAC and therefore, they always have their issues represented there.
